The ruins of the ancient 16th century Church of St.Lawrence and a large closed up graveyard are located in Kill St Lawrence town-land. The walls of the church were 3ft thick. Sometime after the graveyard was closed, a high wall was built around it. Lawrence’s well is situated nearby.
